Show Notes

On Oct. 6, 2021 Jefferson County and neighboring communities experienced an unprecedented flooding event with approximately 10 inches of rain falling within a matter of hours. This resulted in flash flooding in many areas. The Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency has established a damage assessment portal, where homeowners and businesses can report sustained damages by Oct. 18, 2021.  The form can be accessed at www.jeffcoema.org/damageportal. This is not a substitute for submitting a claim through insurance and this submission does not guarantee federal, state or local reimbursement, or financial assistance. If you provide contact information, you will be contacted if federal assistance becomes available. If you have questions email the EMA at: emainfo@jccal.org.
